Version History

Every milestone, one click away.

Design is iterative. You try something, your client prefers the earlier version, a teammate wants to go back to yesterday's layout. Without a history of your project, that means redoing work from memory. marcomauto keeps a real version history of every project so you never lose a direction you had three revisions ago.

Open the History panel from the editor toolbar and you see every saved checkpoint. Click Save version any time you want to pin a milestone — "Client-approved draft", "Pre-launch build", "Before the risky experiment" — and that state is preserved until you delete it. Past versions stay available even after you keep editing, so you can always come back.

Restoring a version replaces your current project state, so save your current work as its own version first if you want to keep it. The panel warns you before the restore runs so you have a chance to pin the present before going back.

Alongside your manual checkpoints, the platform also captures ambient snapshots roughly once per hour while you work. They cover the gap between your intentional saves, so even if the tab crashes or you close a project mid-edit, the last hour of work has a safety net.

Version history is available on every plan, including the free Starter tier — what scales with the price is how much history you keep. Starter holds your most recent 3 named snapshots. Freelancer keeps automatic snapshots for 14 days. Pro keeps 30 days, Business keeps 90, Enterprise keeps them indefinitely. On every paid tier, named snapshots you create manually stay until you delete them.

Named Milestones

Pin checkpoints at meaningful moments. They stay until you delete them.

Clear Restore Warning

The panel tells you upfront that restoring will replace your current state, so you can pin it first if you want to keep it.

Crash-Proof

Ambient hourly snapshots cover the gap between your manual saves.
