Version History
Every milestone, one click away.
Design is iterative. You try something, your client prefers the earlier version, a teammate wants to go back to yesterday's layout. Without a history of your project, that means redoing work from memory. marcomauto keeps a real version history of every project so you never lose a direction you had three revisions ago.
Open the History panel from the editor toolbar and you see every saved checkpoint. Click Save version any time you want to pin a milestone — "Client-approved draft", "Pre-launch build", "Before the risky experiment" — and that state is preserved until you delete it. Past versions stay available even after you keep editing, so you can always come back.
Restoring a version replaces your current project state, so save your current work as its own version first if you want to keep it. The panel warns you before the restore runs so you have a chance to pin the present before going back.
Alongside your manual checkpoints, the platform also captures ambient snapshots roughly once per hour while you work. They cover the gap between your intentional saves, so even if the tab crashes or you close a project mid-edit, the last hour of work has a safety net.
Retention scales with your plan. Pro keeps 30 days of checkpoints, Business keeps 90, and Enterprise keeps them indefinitely. Named checkpoints you create manually are kept until you delete them, regardless of tier.
Version history is a Pro and above feature. Freelancer and Starter don't create checkpoints.
